Information we handle
The app requires no account, connects to no business backend, and does not automatically collect names, email addresses, location, device identifiers, diagnostics or usage data.
Data on your device
Practice history, answers, review progress, named bookmarks and preferences such as language, tuning, capo and fretboard skin are stored locally. The app does not actively send this data to the developer or third parties. Accounts and in-app cloud sync are not currently available.
Audio and device permissions
The app uses system audio to synthesize and play notes and built-in melodies on your device. Ear-to-key exercises also use local playback, without microphone access or recording. The app does not access photos, contacts or location.
Advertising, analytics and third-party services
The app currently contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party data collection SDKs. External support web pages and email services operate separately from the app; their providers’ privacy rules also apply when you use them.
Retention and deletion
Local data stays on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes its local data; system backups may retain copies depending on your device and backup settings. We hold no server-side app practice data and provide no cloud account requiring a separate deletion request.
Children’s privacy
JustFret does not collect personal data from children and offers no chat, user-generated content or social interaction features.
Policy updates
If our data handling changes, we will update this page and its effective date and revise the App Store privacy disclosure accordingly.
